The Kent village of Northbourne, near to Deal, held its only races on Saturday 3rd November 1838 on a course which started at Cowley Hill and finished near to Aston. The principal race was the 4 mile Sweepstake which went to Captain Andrews’ Scamp. After racing an Ordinary was held at the Crown Inn. |
